Silvana Nardone, Cookbook Author of Cooking for Isaiah, Brings Gluten-free Recipes to Chicago on December 3-4, 2010.
Former editor-in-chief of Every Day with Rachael Ray magazine hosts three cooking demonstrations at Chicago-area Dominick’s and Angelo Caputo’s Fresh Markets featuring easy to find ingredients like Chex cereal.

Who: Silvana Nardone is a writer, editor, cooking instructor, food consultant, and the author of Cooking for Isaiah and co-author of Saveur Cooks Authentic Italian. She has appeared on NBC’s Weekend Today, CBS’s News This Morning, ABC’s Eyewitness News This Morning, and the Food Network’s Roker on the Road. What: Nardone will be hosting three Chicago-area cooking demonstrations, recipe samplings, live discussions and book signings in support of her book, Cooking for Isaiah, which features gluten-free recipes for easy, delicious meals. Cooking for Isaiah was written for Nardone’s eldest son who has been diagnosed with food intolerances to gluten and dairy and features
135 recipes for easy meals that look and taste delicious. Guests will also have the opportunity to sample Nardone’s delectable gluten-free recipes including warm Sugar-and-Spiced Doughnuts and Double-Chocolate Peanut Butter Pudding Pie with a Chocolate Chex® Crust.

Where: 1 p.m. until 3 p.m. at Angelo Caputo’s Fresh Markets 2400 N. Harlem Avenue, Elmwood Park location.

When: Saturday, December 4, 2010
Where: 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. at the brand new Dominick’s located at 5201N. Sheridan Avenue.
3 p.m. until 5 p.m. at Dominick’s 255 E. Grand Avenue location.

Why: As the holidays approach, cooking for family is an important centerpiece of the season.  However, as more of our guests seated around the table have specific dietary needs and/or preferences, cooking for a crowd can become challenging and confusing. Nardone’s Cooking for Isaiah embraces the idea that cooking without gluten can yield results that everyone
around the table will love − and request again next year!
