I love smoothies. I really love smoothies now that I bought a high-power blender. And I really really love smoothies when they are healthy, bright green and kid-friendly.
Thanks to Nicola from www.gfreemom.com for sponsoring Detox January – a month of juices, smoothies and gfree soups. Here is my recipe for a Green Goddess Smoothie. You can add any type of yogurt but we use the vanilla So Delicious Coconut Milk Yogurt.
I usually add a quartered kiwi to our green smoothies. I leave the skin on for two reasons. First, it is loaded with fiber and second, most of the vitamins in a kiwi are found directly under the skin, so removing the skin also removes most of the vitamins.

Green Goddess Smoothie
Ingredients
1 cup frozen green grapes
1 kiwi, quartered, with the woody ends removed
1 green apple, chopped into chunks (cored if you want)
2 cups spinach, rinsed well
1 6 oz. container vanilla So Delicious Coconut Milk Yogurt
water to thin out consistency if needed
Place all ingredients in a blender. Blend until smooth. If the smoothie is too thick, add water to thin it out.

Hi Jen,
I love the point about keeping the skin on the kiwis – makes so much sense. We eat the So Delicious coconut ice cream, but haven’t tried the yogurt yet – will definitely look for it next time I’m shopping. Thanks for the great recipe!
looks fantastic!! We are addicted to our daily green smoothies.
Peace & Raw Health,
Elizabeth
Such wholesome and delicious ingredients in this smoothie. I’m always looking for new smoothie ideas and ways to use So Delicious coconut milk yogurt. The kids love it!
Jen this sounds excellent! I will definitely try your fruit and veg combo. We don’t get coconut yogurt in Canada yet. I can’t wait until we do! Suppose I could make my own…Spinach is my favorite green for smoothies.
