I am visiting with my parents this week. I had a Green Goddess Smoothie for breakfast, the kids had eggs and canadian bacon and my Mom had the most lovely bowl of cereal. I called it a “fiber-full” breakfast because it was chock full of fiber and would definitely fill you up. And it was so easy to make! I’ll be making myself a bowl tomorrow…
*For a non-dairy version, use So Delicious Coconut Kefir or other non-dairy versions of kefir or yogurt.
1/3 cup Perky’s Crunchy Flax Cereal
1 Tablespoon ground flax
1 Tablespoon slivered almonds
1/4 cup kefir or yogurt (you can use dairy or non-dairy*)
1/2 cup blueberries
a few blackberries, optional
1/4 of a medium banana, sliced
a sprinkle of ground cinnamon
Put the cereal in a bowl. Top with the kefir or yogurt. Add everything else and then sprinkle the cinnamon.
