We were heading out to a Mexican restaurant for dinner and decided we were too tired to go out to eat. However, my son had his heart set on a virgin strawberry daiquiri. I have no recollection of promising him this drink but he swears that I promised him one at the restaurant. The good news was that I had some strawberries in the refrigerator. Here is what I concocted:)
Blend in a blender:
1 cup ice
1 cup strawberries
1/2 cup water
2-3 Tablespoons agave nectar
Serve with a lime wedge or a sprig of mint.

I love daquiris but they have so much sugar in them. I love this idea of how you made it. I am going to try that. Strawberry season is just around the corner here in VA. We pick buckets full and freeze them. I bet this will be delicious and healthier than the high fructose corn syrup ones. I hope we can make peach ones like this too!!
I love that you can change the amount of sweetness depending on your fruit. Sometimes we have really nasty fruit and need a little more agave. Other times we barely need any. My favorite is to blend in the mint with the strawberries. And peaches sound sooooo good!
