Caution: Sami’s Gluten Free Products

Many years ago I used to purchase Sami’s gluten-free products.  They had a great bread that seemed to be gluten-free.  But then I started to hear about cross-contamination at their bakery and I stopped purchasing their products.  In past years, I have warned people against buying their products if you need to maintain a GF diet.

Tricia Thompson, RD has just published her test findings of Sami’s products through her site Gluten Free Watchdog.  Please read her article and DO NOT purchase Sami’s products if you need to be consuming GF foods.

Thanks Tricia for all you do to keep us safe and informed!

My nutritionist orders items for me and other clients from Sami’s. I am so glad to know there is someone out there doing these tests. She just ordered from Deland’s and I am leery of them now. Hopefully Tricia will do a test of their products also. I am dairy/gluten/yeast/soy free and finding bread is very hard. I crave toast once in a while. Thanks Tricia!!!

I’ve heard that there is cross contamination at Delands too. Some friends have celiacs so they have to be extra careful.

I work in a gluten-free store and one of my customers just got sick from Sami’s. She blames me personally and I feel horrible about it. I just want to hop a flight to Tsmpa and give them a piece of my mind. This is awful.
