These simple and delicious pears are the perfect thing to serve with roasted pork and squash.
2 red pears, quartered and cored
olive oil
a sprinkle of dried rosemary
a sprinkle of dried thyme
salt and pepper
Preheat oven to 350.
Cut the pears in quarters lengthwise. Start at the top near the stem and cut all the way to the bottom of the pear. Then cut that half again starting at the top so you have four quarters. Remove the core.
Place the pears in a metal roasting or baking pan. Place a dollop of olive oil on your hands and rub it on the pears. Sprinkle the pears with dried rosemary, thyme, salt and pepper.
Roast at 350 for 30 minutes. Remove from oven and serve with pork or turkey. I love this recipe served with pork tenderloin!
